Between line

I’m Ash Van Eyk, a tattoo artist and painter. My practice brings together fine-line work, sketch surrealism, and minimalism—a meeting of delicate line and unexpected imagery.

I began tattooing in 2023. My tattoo work moves between botanical details, flowing wave-like forms, circular motifs, and spare geometric designs, often rendered in delicate blue lines.

Alongside fine line, sketch, surrealism, and minimalism, I work with watercolor and psychedelic styles. Painting is another part of my practice—a different surface for exploring imagery, color, and expression.

Art and community meet beyond the studio, too. I co-organized BOILING POINT, a mutual-aid gala bringing together local artists, vendors, and musicians to support immigrant families through the New York Immigration Coalition.
